          ANNOUNCING !
         To All Teachers

The Port Arthur Public School
Foundation, Inc. will again offer all
teachers an opportunity to apply for
a grant this fall. In order that recipients may have their funds earlier in the school year, the fall deadline for submitting applications is FRIDAY, SEPTEMBER 24, 2010.

Please remember:

  • Funds are available for up to $1,000 per grant
  • All applications must be signed by the building principal
  • The focus of the application should be on innovative programs/materials for use with students

Criteria and eligibility information are covered more thoroughly in the box below.

FYI: The Foundation does not fund field trips, food, or prizes.
So---make plans this summer to apply for a grant this fall! We look forward to hearing from you.

Application forms will be available on this web page in early August 2010 for Fall grants.

 

 

 Purpose

The Port Arthur Public School Foundation, Inc. Grants Program is designed to encourage, facilitate, recognize and reward innovative instructional approaches to enhance academic excellence in the Port Arthur Independent School District.

 Persons Eligible to Apply for Grants          

Individuals or teams employed by Port Arthur Independent School District.

 Eligible Proposals                  

Instructional approaches or projects designed to begin during the specified school year and which meet these selection criteria.

 Award of Funds

Grants of up to approximately $1,000 will be awarded to teacher-initiated programs, projects or instructional items.  (Note: Check will be made payable to the grantee’s school and be for exclusive use of the grantee’s purpose.)
